His work has been shown at numerous solo and group shows. He is the sculptor for a project entitled "The Weight of Sacrifice" that is one of five finalists for the World War I Memorial in Pershing Park, Washington D.C.[4][5][6][7] His notable works include the recent National WWI Memorial sculpture.[8][9] Howard is the creator of the large-scale pieces Hermes, Aphrodite, and Apollo, as well as many smaller pieces.[10][11] His works are owned by private collectors and museums including The Mount, Edith Wharton's home.[12][13] Art critic James Cooper wrote in 2012: "Howard’s sculptures have content as well as exquisite form".[14] The Epoch Times wrote that “Entering Sabin Howard’s studio in the Bronx is a unique experience.”[15] Howard co-wrote a book called The Art Of Life with his novelist wife Traci L. Slatton.[16] As part of a team put together by a young architect, Joseph Weishaar, Sabin was selected to create the sculpture at the National World War I Memorial in Washington D.C.[17] References1. ^{{cite news|url=https://www.reuters.com/video/2018/03/21/a-soldiers-epic-journey-captured-in-scul?videoId=410918734&videoChannel=3|title=A soldier's epic journey captured in sculpture for U.S. World War One memorial|work=Reuters}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Howard, Sabin}}{{US-artist-stub}}2. ^{{cite news|url=https://www.wsj.com/articles/conveying-horror-and-heroism-for-war-war-i-memorial-1477262765|title=Conveying Horror and Heroism for World War I Memorial|publisher=wsj}} 3. ^Anna Russell, "The Hero's Journey," New Yorker, May 28, 2018, p. 23. 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/bronx/artist-creates-classical-bronze-sculptures-greek-gods-goddesses-mott-haven-bronx-studio-article-1.1030523|title=Mott Haven artist creates Greek gods in bronze|author=Tanyanika Samuels|date=2 March 2012|work=NY Daily News}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.worldwar1centennial.org/index.php/stage-ii-design-development/the-weight-of-sacrifice.html|title=The Weight Of Sacrifice|publisher=}} 6. ^{{cite news|url=http://bronx.news12.com/news/best-of-the-bronx-artist-sabin-howard-1.12505689|title=Best of the Bronx: Artist Sabin Howard|publisher=news12}} 7. ^{{cite news|url=http://bronx.news12.com/multimedia/video-extended-interview-with-bronx-artist-sabin-howard-1.12506565|title=VIDEO: Extended interview with Bronx artist Sabin Howard|publisher=news12}} 8. ^{{cite news|url=https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/05/28/theres-no-first-world-war-memorial-on-the-national-mall|title=There’s No First World War Memorial on the National Mall?|work=Newyorker}} 9. ^{{cite news|url=https://fineartconnoisseur.com/2018/01/a-soldiers-journey-the-weight-of-sacrifice-portrayed-in-bronze-relief/|title=A Soldier’s Journey: The Weight of Sacrifice Portrayed in Bronze Relief|work=fineartconnoisseur}} 10. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.nytimes.com/2002/04/28/nyregion/art-reviews-etchings-of-a-world-troubled-and-teetering.html|title=Etchings Of a World, Troubled And Teetering|date=28 April 2002|work=The New York Times}} 11. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.newcriterion.com/posts.cfm/Sabin-Howard-s--Sculpting-Gods--7004|title=Sabin Howard's 'Sculpting Gods' by Neilson MacKay - The New Criterion|publisher=}} 12. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.edithwharton.org/estate-gardens/the-mansion/|title=The Main House|work=The Mount - Edith Wharton's Home}} 13. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.fox5ny.com/news/105247881-video|title=Modern Masters: Sculptor Sabin Howard|publisher=fox5ny}} 14. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.nccsc.net/legacy/sabin-howard|title=Sabin Howard|publisher=}} 15. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.theepochtimes.com/n3/1488299-sabin-howard-the-man-who-sculpts-gods/|title=Sabin Howard: The Man Who Sculpts Gods|date=4 March 2012|work=The Epoch Times}} 16. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.academia.edu/1554830/BOOK_REVIEW_-_The_Art_of_Life_By_Sabin_Howard_and_Traci_L._Slatton|title=Book review - The Art of Life By Sabin Howard and Traci L.
