It is endemic to South Africa, where it is known from sandy flats along the Breede River in the Worcester area and the Robertson Karoo in the West Cape. The wingspan is 25–28 mm for males and 27–33 mm females. Adults are on wing from September to December and again from January to March in two generations per year.[2] The larvae probably feed on Aspalathus species.[1] References1. ^1 {{cite journal |author1=Gimenez Dixon, M. | title=Aloeides lutescens| journal = The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species| volume= 1996|publisher = IUCN | year = 1996 | page = e.T885A13088921| url = http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/885/0|doi=10.2305/IUCN.UK.1996.RLTS.T885A13088921.en| accessdate = 10 August 2016}} {{Wikispecies}}{{Commons}}{{Taxonbar|from=Q4227904}}{{Aphnaeini-stub}}2. ^{{cite book|last=Woodhall |first=Steve |title=Field Guide to Butterflies of South Africa |year=2005 |location=Cape Town, South Africa |publisher=Struik |isbn=978-1-86872-724-7 }} 4 : Aloeides|Butterflies described in 1968|Endemic butterflies of South Africa|Taxonomy articles created by Polbot |
