Confirmation of the project, the network's inaugural streaming series, was announced February 9, 2019 as part of Crown Media Family Networks' bi-annual Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.[1][2][3] PremiseWhen Hope Calls follows two main characters originally introduced in When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing, that guest-starred Morgan Kohan and Jocelyn Hudon as two orphaned sisters, Lillian and Grace, separated as toddlers that reunite as adults and open an orphanage in a small Northwest town.
