The Guyana Stock Exchange is the newest exchange in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) bloc of countries. Trading began June 30, 2003 and takes place weekly via word of mouth on the trading floor supported by an electronic limit order book. Several companies in Trinidad and Tobago (such as RBTT) have considered cross-listing themselves on the Guyana Stock Exchange. Trinidad Cement Limited became the first to do so early in January 2007. The Guyana Association of Securities Companies and Intermediaries Inc. (GASCI) operates the.
