Jacob Denner (1681–1735) was a woodwind instrument maker of Nuremberg. He was the son of Johann Christoph Denner, improver of the chalumeau and inventor of the clarinet. Jacob is also well known for his recorders[1] which have become the model for many modern instruments.[2] He is reported to have worked for the Medecis court in Florence in 1708.[3] Jacob was also a performer and member of the Nuremberg Stadtpfeiferei.[4] References1. ^{{Cite journal | first = | last = | author-link = | author = Robert Austin Warner | author2 = Friedrich von Huene | date = 1974 | year = | title = A Jacob Denner Recorder in the United States of Americ | quote = | journal = The Galpin Society Journal | volume = 21 | issue = | pages = 88–98 | doi =10.2307/841432 | id = | jstor = 841432 }} 2. ^{{Cite web| url = http://www.mollenhauer.com/en/recorders/recorders/recorderoverview/denner#content| title = Denner Recorders from Mollenhauer| access-date = 2016-07-09| author = | last = | first = | author-link = | date = | year = 2016| work = | publisher = Mollenhauer Recorders| pages = | format = | language = | quote = }} 3. ^{{Cite web| url = http://joel.arpin.free.fr/pages_eng/denner2.html| title = Denner| access-date = 2016-07-09| author = | last = Arpin | first = Joël | author-link = | date = | year = | work = | publisher = | pages = | language = | quote = }} 4. ^{{Cite web| url = http://www.buyrecorders.com/denner_family.htm| title = Unicorn Music: Denner Family| access-date = 2016-07-09| author = | last = Fischer| first = Charles| author-link = | date = | year = | work = | publisher = | pages = | language = | quote = }} External links
