This dark-coloured asteroid has probably a primitive carbonaceous chondritic composition. One occultation by Adria has been reported so far, from Japan on August 21, 2000. A somewhat spherical shape measuring 98 × 86 km was observed. Photometric observations of this asteroid made during 2008 at the Organ Mesa Observatory in Las Cruces, New Mexico gave an irregular light curve with a period of 22.005 ± 0.001 hours and a brightness variation of 0.08 ± 0.01 in magnitude.[7]References1. ^1 2 {{cite web |title = 143 Adria |work = Minor Planet Center |url = https://www.minorplanetcenter.net/db_search/show_object?object_id=143 |accessdate = 29 May 2018}} [1][2][3]2. ^1 2 {{Cite journal |author = Pilcher, Frederick |date = September 2008 |title = Period Determinations for 26 Proserpina, 34 Circe 74 Galatea, 143 Adria, 272 Antonia, 419 Aurelia, and 557 Violetta |url = http://adsabs.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/bib_query?bibcode=2008MPBu...35..135P |journal = The Minor Planet Bulletin |volume = 35 |issue = 3 |pages = 135–138 |issn = 1052-8091 |bibcode = 2008MPBu...35..135P |access-date= 29 May 2018}} 3. ^1 {{cite web |title = Asteroid 143 Adria |work = Small Bodies Data Ferret |url = https://sbntools.psi.edu/ferret/SimpleSearch/results.action?targetName=143+Adria |accessdate = 29 May 2018}} }} External links
