释义 |
Eddie Anthony (1890–1934) was an American country blues and jazz musician. He played the violin. His style of playing, primarily accompanying Peg Leg Howell, offered the rarity of black string band music, which disappeared with the advent of recording blues guitarists.[1] Anthony worked with Howell throughout the 1920s and early 1930s. He also recorded "Georgia Crawl" with Henry Williams.[2] Anthony died in Atlanta, Georgia in 1934.[2] References1. ^{{cite book| first= Tony| last= Russell| year= 1997| title= The Blues – From Robert Johnson to Robert Cray| edition= | publisher=Carlton Books Limited | location= Dubai| isbn= 1-85868-255-X| page= 119}} {{Authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Anthony, Eddie}}{{US-jazz-musician-stub}}{{US-violinist-stub}}2. ^1 [{{Allmusic|class=artist|id=p52126|pure_url=yes}} Allmusic.com – accessed January 2010] 10 : American blues musicians|Country blues musicians|American jazz violinists|American male violinists|1890 births|1934 deaths|20th-century American musicians|20th-century violinists|20th-century male musicians|Male jazz musicians |
