The population was 927 at the 2010 census. The population density was {{convert|835.1|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. The 448 housing units had an average density of {{convert|403.6|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 98.4% White, 0.1% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.3% from other races, and 1.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.1% of the population.{{fact|date=April 2018}} Of 406 households, 31.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.5% were married couples living together, 11.3% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 36.0% were non-families. 32.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28, and the average family size was 2.84.{{fact|date=April 2018}} The median age in the city was 42.3 years old. 24.1% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.3% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 22.8% were from 25 to 44; 26.4% were from 45 to 64; and 19.4% were 65 years of age or older. The population density was 884.3 people per square mile (341.0/km²). The 470 housing units had an average density of 416.5 per square mile (160.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.20% White, 0.40% from other races, and 1.40% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.50% of the population.{{fact|date=April 2018}} There were 438 households out of which 29.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.1% were married couples living together, 8.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.0% were non-families. 31.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
