Parts of it extend into Panola and Lafayette counties. Common fish species include crappie, largemouth bass, catfish and bream. Enid Lake holds world records for white crappie {{convert|5.3|lb|kg|abbr=on}} and shortnose gar {{convert|5.83|lb|kg|abbr=on}}.[1]Enid Dam is an earthen dam across the Yocona River. The dam is {{convert|110|ft|m|abbr=on}} height and {{convert|8400|ft|m|abbr=on}} long at its crest. The structure was completed in 1952, for flood control and recreation, as a project of the United States Army Corps of Engineers. The lake (conservation pool) has a surface area of {{convert|6100|acre|ha|abbr=on}} and a storage of {{convert|57600|acre.foot|m3|lk=in}}.[2] See also
