Known as 'Seechin' in Tudor England, it covers an area of {{convert|6.78|km2|abbr=on}} and had a population of 341 in 141 households at the 2001 census,[1] the population increasing to 365 at the 2011 Census.[2] Its church, St Margaret, is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk. Seething Airfield, formerly RAF Seething, is located to the south of the village.
