Lensing serves on several committees in the Iowa House: the Environmental Protection committee; the Judiciary committee; the State Government committee; the Government Oversight committee, where she is chair; and the Administration and Regulation Appropriations subcommittees. Lensing was re-elected in 2006 with 11,000 votes, running unopposed.[2] EducationLensing graduated from West High School in 1975 and obtained her BA from the University of Iowa in 1979.[3] CareerLensing grew up around her grandparents' family business, Mott's Drug Store. Outside politics she is a co-owner of Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service.[3] FamilyLensing is the daughter of John and Patti Mott.
