To date, seven ships of the French Navy have borne the name of Suffren, in honour of the 18th-century French admiral Pierre André de Suffren. French ship named Suffren - {{ship|French ship|Suffren|1791}} (1791–1794), a {{sclass-|Téméraire|ship of the line|0}} 74-gun ship of the line renamed Redoutable in 1794, famous for her defence at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, during which she killed Admiral Horatio Nelson.

- {{ship|French cruiser|Suffren}} (1926–1963), a heavy cruiser and name ship of the {{sclass-|Suffren|cruiser|4}}.
- {{ship|French frigate|Suffren}} (1968–2008), a guided missile frigate.
Future vessels- A nuclear attack submarine of the Barracuda class, planned to enter service in 2017, is scheduled to bear the name Suffren.[1]
