He was the founding editor-in-chief of News Live and Assam Talks, two prominent satellite channels. Currently he is working as the consulting editor of DY 365. Remarks on social media led to a campaign on Twitter demanding his resignation,[1] and finally he resigned his position as editor-in-chief of News Live.[2] After his resignation he was also removed from the Board of the Directors of NewsLive.[3] Facebook controversyRepresentatives from the Tai-Ahom community in Assam alleged that Bhuyan had posted derogatory comments against an Ahom woman on his Facebook wall in late 2011.
