HistoryFounded as a general store in 1950 by Cyril Benson, Bensons for Beds opened the first dedicated bed centre in 1972. The company is now based in Accrington, Lancashire, and operates as an chain of concessions and stand alone stores. Bensons for Beds is now part of South African group Steinhoff International, which also owns United Kingdom furniture brands Harveys and Cargo. StoresBy February 2015, Bensons for Beds' had over 270 stores throughout England, Scotland, and Wales, following a merger with sister company Sleepmasters in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and, in October 2011 with Bed Shed in Scotland. Customer ServicesAlthough Bensons for Beds have a strong Bricks & Mortar store presence, the staff therein are purely sales, and will not undertake any customer services requests. All the in-store staff will do is raise a ticket for the customer service centre to call you back. Customer Services aim to respond within two days but two days is just an aim, not a promise. Inbound calls to customer services can be placed on hold when there are insufficient call centre operatives available. External links{{commons category|Bensons for Beds}}
