|regnum = Plantae |unranked_divisio = Angiosperms |unranked_classis = Eudicots |unranked_ordo = Rosids |ordo = Fabales |familia = Fabaceae |genus = Calliandra |series = Racemosae Benth. |species = C. physocalyx |binomial = Calliandra physocalyx |binomial_authority = H.M.Hern. & M.Sousa |}}Calliandra physocalyx is a species of flowering plants of the genus Calliandra in the Fabaceae family, endemic to southwestern Mexico.[1] It is a shrub with pink-and-white or pink-and-red flowers.[2] Like other members of the genus Calliandra, the filaments of the stamens are long and colourful, in this case about {{convert|7.5|cm|in}} long.[2] The species was first scientifically described in 1988.[2] DistributionCalliandra physocalyx is known only from a small mountainous area of the Pacific slope of southwestern Mexico, in western Oaxaca and adjacent Guerrero, at {{convert|490|–|1050|m|feet}} elevation.[2] It has been seen mostly in disturbed habitats that were previously forest.[2]See also
