It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. It consisted of 13 communes, which joined the canton of Marck in 2015.[1] GeographyThe canton is organised around Audruicq in the arrondissement of Saint-Omer. The altitude varies from 0m (Oye-Plage) to 64m (Ruminghem) for an average altitude of 6m. CompositionThe canton comprised 13 communes and a total of 23,068 inhabitants (census of 1999, without double counting).
