It was built during the reign of king Milutin (1282-1321) near mines of lead, copper and gold.{{citation needed|date=May 2013}} It was damaged in the end of the 14th century and reconstructed in 1871, destroyed again in 1871 and rebuilt 1895. It is located on Nenad's Stone (a hill 975 m above sea level) at the eastern slopes of Kopaonik. According to legend, Saint Sava raised a wooden cross on Nenad's Stone and declared it holy.[1] References1. ^http://www.b92.net/eng/gallery/zoom.php?nav_category=121&image_id=86978 {{coord missing|Serbia}}{{Serbian Orthodox churches|state=collapsed}}{{Serbia-hist-stub}}{{ToplicaRS-geo-stub}}{{Serbia-EO-church-stub}} 6 : Serbian Orthodox church buildings in Serbia|Churches completed in 2002|21st-century Serbian Orthodox church buildings|13th-century Serbian Orthodox church buildings|Kuršumlija|2002 establishments in Serbia |
