The band hired Joe Satriani as a temporary replacement for Blackmore, to play the remaining gigs in Japan and Europe. After the tour, Satriani continued his solo career and the band asked Steve Morse to join. As the band were unsure of how audiences would react to the new permanent replacement, a "secret warm-up" tour of 3 shows were played. Audiences responded positively to Morse.[1][2] Tour dates
