{{Orphan|date=November 2010}}Descent Cliff ({{Coord|77|43|S|166|54|E|source:GNIS|display=inline,title}}) is a cliff on the west side of Hut Point Peninsula, between the Hutton Cliffs and Erebus Glacier Tongue, on Ross Island. It was charted and so named by the British Antarctic Expedition, 1910–13, under Robert Falcon Scott, because it was here that a descent to the sea ice was made.[1]References1. ^{{cite gnis | type = antarid | id = 3769| name = Descent Cliff | accessdate = 2012-01-12}}
