LifeKvyatkovsky was a student at St.Petersburg Institute of Technology in 1874-1875. He took an active part in the Going into the people movement in Tula, Nizhny Novgorod and Voronezh in 1874-1879. Kvyatkovsky was one of the organizers of the Zemlya i volya or Land and Liberty in 1878. He also joined a terrorist group called Liberty or Death (Свобода или смерть). Kvyatkovsky participated in the Lipetsk and Voronezh Congresses of Zemlya i volya or Land and Liberty. When Land And Liberty broke into two factions as the result of an internal dispute over tactics in August 1879, Kvyatkovsky opted to side with the stance taken by the more adventurous People's Will or Narodnaya Volya group. He was also one of the organizers of Narodnaya Volya. In September–November 1879, Kvyatkovsky was in charge of a clandestine print shop and acted as a liaison between the Executive Committee and Stepan Khalturin during the planning stages of a terrorist act in the Winter Palace. DeathKvyatkovsky was arrested on November 24, 1879, and sentenced to death at the Trial of the Sixteen in 1880.
