It occurs in New South Wales, from the locations of Countegany to Kybean.[2] This seldom seen plant is considered rare with a ROTAP rating of 2VCi. The future of this plant is of concern by scientists, who consider it endangered by extinction in New South Wales.[3] It is eligible for a listing as a vulnerable species under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.[4] References{{Portal|Trees}}1. ^A Field Guide to Eucalypts - Brooker & Kleinig volume 1, {{ISBN|0-909605-62-9}}.
