He played at representative level for Great Britain, and at club level for St Helens, Widnes and the Rochdale Hornets, as a {{rlp|sr}}, i.e. number 11 or 12, during the era of contested scrums.[1] BackgroundMeasures was born in St. Helens, Lancashire, England.
