{{short description|Village in northeast Scotland}}Kirkton of Tough, usually shortened to Tough ({{IPAc-en|ˈ|t|ʊ|x}} {{Respell|TUUKH|'}}), is a settlement in the Marr area of Aberdeenshire, Scotland at {{gbmapping|NJ615129}}. It is about {{convert|4|km|mi}} southeast of Alford and {{convert|143|km|mi}} from Edinburgh. Tough is where the Aberdeen Angus breed of cattle was first bred.^[1]^[2]
