Linan also stated that the show is "too silly for adults and too coarse for kids".[1] John Levesque of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer did not find the series funny, and said that the scripts were "unimaginative" and "unprofessional".[3] Claude Brooks of The Palm Beach Post said the series "isn't that bad", however "the puppets are funnier than the humans". Brooks referred to the series as essentially "3rd Rock from the Sun meets The Muppet Show".[4] References1. ^1 {{cite news|url=http://articles.latimes.com/1997-01-04/entertainment/ca-15182_1_usa-network|title=USA Adds Sitcoms 'Earth' and 'Crib'|last=Linan|first=Steven|date=January 4, 1997|work=Los Angeles Times|accessdate=2009-07-20}} 2. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.variety.com/vstory/VR1117466396.html?categoryid=38&cs=1|title=USA bumping up original output|last=Dempsey|first=John|date=December 4, 1996|work=Variety|accessdate=2009-07-20}} 3. ^{{cite news|title='Jag' is Back But Not Much Better; 'Lost on Earth' is Just Plain Lost|last=Levesque|first=John|date=January 3, 1997|work=Seattle Post-Intelligencer|pages=34}} 4. ^{{cite news|title=USA's New Offerings Fall Short|last=Brooks|first=Claude|date=January 4, 1997|work=The Palm Beach Post|pages=4.D}} External links
