|}}Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man is the third studio album by American country music duo Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn. It was released on July 9, 1973, by MCA Records.[2]

The album includes cover versions of other artists hits, including the Everly Brothers' "Bye Bye Love", and another well-known song, "Release Me".

Commercial performance

The album peaked on the 'US Billboard Hot Country LP's chart at No. 1, becoming the duo's first album to top that chart. The album also charted on the US Billboard Top LP's chart, peaking at No. 153. The lead single, "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man", was the duo's third single, and peaked at No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.

Recording

Recording sessions for the album took place at Bradley's Barn in Mount Juliet, TN, beginning on March 6 and March 7, 1973. Three additional sessions followed on April 3, April 4, and April 5, 1973.[3]
