}} Luke Wagner (born 1962) is a painter and framer based in Hobart, Tasmania. Wagner's landscapes capture Tasmania's evocative terrain. Wagner usually chooses to paint changed Tasmanian scenery, typically pastoral scenes or gardens, but his work echoes the elemental whispers of his islands. Wagner is a self-taught painter who composes from memory in his self-designed studio in the Tasmanian bush. RecognitionLuke Wagner has won numerous awards and his work continues to grow in popularity. Since his first sell-out exhibition in 1994, he has held a further 21 successful exhibitions in Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
