It consists of only one species, Paraterpna harrisoni, which is found in Australia (New South Wales). The wings are white mottled with grey and brown, with grey-brown lines on the veins (distinct on the forewings and fainter or incomplete on the hindwings).[1] The larvae feed on Leptospermum species.
