释义 |
Taylors Hill (also Te Taurere), is a dormant volcano in the Auckland volcanic field. The last eruption was about 32,000 years ago. Its scoria cone reaches 56 m high. It was the site of a pā and retains Māori earthworks from that era such as kumara pits and terracing. The volcano's lower slopes and scoria mounds to the east and south have been quarried away.
