The club was founded in May 1967. The club is part of the University Sport Society USD Bosna ({{lang-bs|Univerzitetsko Sportsko Društvo Bosna}}). UKK bosna is a member of the Bosnian Karate Federation.[1] The club often participates in international competitions and events.[2][3][4][5] In particular, between 1984 to 1992 the club had much success on the international stage.
