释义 |
The 39th meridian west from Washington is an archaic meridian based on the Washington meridian. The meridian is used as a boundary for two states. The first and only usage of the meridian as a boundary occurred in 1864. In that year, the Montana Territory was created from Idaho Territory with the meridian serving as its extreme northwestern boundary.[1] Montana became a state in 1889, with Idaho following the next year.[2][3] References1. ^{{usstat|13|85}} {{coord missing|Idaho}}{{US-geo-stub}}2. ^{{cite book | url=http://svcalt.mt.gov/education/textbook/Chapter10/Chapter10.pdf | title=Montana: Stories of the Land | publisher=Montana Historical Society Press | author=Holmes, Krys | year=2008 | location=Helena | page=193 | chapter=Chapter 10 - Politics and the Copper Kings, 1889 - 1904 |format=PDF}} 3. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.state.id.us/aboutidaho/history.html | title=History | publisher=State of Idaho | accessdate=16 May 2014}} 3 : Borders of Idaho|Borders of Montana|Lines of longitude |
