He was Sarajevo's first mayor post-World War I and in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. From 1929 to 1931, he served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. There is no known information about his life after 1931. Early life and familyPetrović was born to a family of Bosnian Serb merchants in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. His father Petar Petrović was a Serb from Korçë, Albania who self-identified as ethnically Greek and gave his three sons (Aristotel, Diogen and Sokrat) Greek names.[1] PoliticsAfter the First World War ended in 1918, Petrović was elected as Sarajevo's 6th mayor on 2 December of that year,[2] and served until Ljudevit Novat was elected in the November 1920 elections, although he had attempted to resign in May 1920.[3] He was the city's first mayor in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.[4] References1. ^{{cite web|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=eyyXAgAAQBAJ&pg=PT727&dq=Aristotel+Petrovi%C4%87&hl=en&sa=X&ei=0SsqVcmSDcLqoASSuYD4DA&ved=0CDsQ6AEwBQ#v=snippet&q=Aristotel&f=false|title=Istorija srpskog naroda|publisher=Google Books|date=13 January 2014|accessdate=12 April 2015}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Petrovic, Aristotel}}2. ^{{cite web|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=ACvJHam2_-oC&pg=PA428&dq=Aristotel+Petrovi%C4%87&hl=en&sa=X&ei=lSgqVaO5HI_loASQmYGABA&ved=0CB0Q6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=Aristotel%20Petrovi%C4%87&f=false|title=Sarajevo: A Biography; page 142|publisher=Google Books|year=2006|accessdate=12 April 2015}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.iis.unsa.ba/pdf/donia_sarajevo.pdf|title=ZABORAVLJENI GRAD KRALJEVINE JUGOSLAVIJE|publisher=IIS|year=2006|accessdate=12 April 2015}} 4. Year of birth missing|Year of death missing|People from Sarajevo|Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina|Mayors of Sarajevo|Bosnia and Herzegovina politicians |
