The nearest railhead is in Yadgir.[4] There are four villages in the gram panchayat: Azalapur, Badepalli,turukaldoddi and Chaler.[3] DemographicsAt the 2001 census, the village of Azalapur had 2,123 inhabitants, with 1,021 males and 1,102 females.[5] EducationIt has Government higher primary school which is offered in Kannada and Urdu medium and a Government high school in Kannada medium.
