Brian Deas (born 17 November 1965) is a Scottish professional golfer from Leven in Fife, best known for his play on the Scottish pro golf tour, which is locally known as the Tartan Tour.

Early career

Brian Deas played his amateur golf at both Scoonie golf club, Leven, Fife and Leven Links golf club, Leven, Fife.

Pro career

Brian Deas turned professional at the age of 21 and won several pro tournaments on the south region pro am circuit including winning the prestigious Hampshire Assistant Professionals Matchplay Championship.

After becoming fully PGA qualified Brian then went to play several successful seasons on the Tartan Tour in Scotland. He won a total of 6 events and had numerous top ten finishes during his career until retiring in 2005.

Most notable

Brian Deas entered the Guinness Book of World Records at the 1996 Scottish Masters after scoring an albatross 2 on the 607 yard par 5 18th hole at Westerwood Golf and Country Club, Scotland. This was at the time, the longest albatross at a par 5 ever recorded and is still the longest ever recorded in the UK
