'Miss Ruby' and clone no. NC2003-4: B × weyeriana 'Honeycomb' × (B. davidii {{tdes|Nanho Purple|caps}} × B. lindleyana), by Dr Dennis Werner and Layne Snelling at the Sandhills Research Station , Jackson Springs, North Carolina, USA, and released to commerce by NCSU in 2010. {{tdes|Purple Haze|caps}} is marketed in the USA by Proven Winners LLC, Illinois, as part of its 'Lo & Behold'® series.[1] Description{{tdes|Purple Haze|caps}} makes a dense, compact mound, 0.8 m high by 1.2 m wide. The semi-pendulous stems bear fragrant inflorescences comprising loose, pendulous terminal panicles, 20 cm in length, comprising < 85 purple flowers, the corolla tube 15 mm in length and 5.5 mm wide at the apex, reflecting its lindleyana heritage. The mature leaves are elliptic, 10.5 cm long by 2.6 cm wide, green above and grey-green below.[1]Cultivation{{tdes|Purple Haze|caps}} is cultivated in North America,[1] and has been introduced to the UK under the name {{tdes|Purple Chip|caps}}.
