}} The Chinamanfish, Symphorus nematophorus, is a species of snapper native to the western Pacific Ocean. This species is an inhabitant of coral reefs and can be found at depths from {{convert|20|to|100|m|ft|abbr=on}}. This species grows to a length of {{convert|100|cm|in|abbr=on}}, though most are only around {{convert|35|cm|in|abbr=on}}. The greatest recorded weight for a member of this species is {{convert|13.2|kg|lb|abbr=on}}. It is important to commercial fisheries, though Australia has banned the sale of this fish due to the frequency with which it causes ciguatera poisoning. It is also sought out as a game fish.
