It was described by Meyrick in 1922.[1] It is found in Brazil, where it has been recorded only from Amazonas at an area along the Amazon River. The length of the forewings is about 7.8 mm, wingspan 17mm.[2] The forewings are cream to pale yellow crossed by several, slightly darker yellow brown bands or strigulae. The hindwings are uniform pale cream.
