It was created in 2015 by the merger of the present municipalities Fajzë, Gjinaj, Golaj and Krumë. The seat of the municipality is the town Krumë.[1] The total population is 16,790 (2011 census), in a total area of 399.62 km2.[2] It is coterminous with the former Has District, and the ethnographic Has region.
