It is a very rare species endemic to southern Arizona, known from only three counties (Pima, Cochise and Santa Cruz). It is closely related to H. revoluta and the two are sometimes considered varieties of the same species.[2] References1. ^{{PLANTS|id=HECO18|taxon=Hexalectris colemanii|accessdate=14 May 2015}} 2. ^1 Kew World Checklist of Selected Plant Families External links
