}} Hierodoris illita is a moth of the Oecophoridae family. It was described by Felder & Rogenhofer in 1875. It is found in New Zealand. The wingspan is 20–30 mm. The forewings are blackish, variably overlain with reddish and whitish scales. The hindwings are blackish with orange streaks. The larvae feed on Coriaria arborea. They feed inside a woody stem or branch of their host plant. A specimen has also been reared from a gall on a stem of Muehlenbeckia australis.[1] References{{Wikicommons|Category:Hierodoris illita|Hierodoris illita}}1. ^Hoare, 2005, Hierodoris (Insecta: Lepidoptera: Gelechioidea: Oecophoridae), and overview of Oecophoridae, Fauna of New Zealand, Ko te Aitanga Pepeke o Aotearoa, 54 pp. 13–25. {{Taxonbar|from=Q15640225}}{{Oecophoridae-stub}} 4 : Moths described in 1875|Moths of New Zealand|Xyloryctinae|Endemic fauna of New Zealand |
