词条 | Jacques Leschassier |
释义 |
LifeHe was an avocat of the Parlement of Paris, and then procureur-général of the Parlement. He supported the Salic Law and in 1606 argued the case for Gallican ecclesiastical independence.[2] Leschassier put forward proposals around 1597, intended to help Henry IV of France get better control of royal officeholders, by designating the posts as fiefs.[3] At the time of the Venetian Interdict, the Venetian diplomat Pietro Priuli recruited Leschassier and Louis Servin to write in Venice's defence.[4] These works argued that the position of the Church of Venice should be equated with that of the Gallican view of the situation of the Church of France.[5] Leschassier then became an intimate correspondent of Paolo Sarpi.[6] Notes1. ^{{cite book|author=William James Bouwsma|title=A Usable Past: Essays in European Cultural History|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=G-WtbE0jdHQC&pg=PA324|accessdate=26 July 2012|date=27 June 1990|publisher=University of California Press|isbn=978-0-520-06438-6|page=324}} 2. ^Burns, pp. 681–2. 3. ^{{cite book|author=Roland Mousnier|title=The Institutions of France Under the Absolute Monarchy, 1598-1789: The organs of state and society|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=HR-QhxycOZMC&pg=PA38|accessdate=26 July 2012|date=1 March 1984|publisher=University of Chicago Press|isbn=978-0-226-54328-4|page=38}} 4. ^{{cite book|author=William James Bouwsma|title=Venice and the Defense of Republican Liberty: Renaissance Values in the Age of the Counter Reformation|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=uMLy6Ht7fxEC&pg=PA399|accessdate=26 July 2012|year=1968|publisher=University of California Press|isbn=978-0-520-05221-5|page=399}} 5. ^{{cite book|author=J.
