}}Spaghetti tacos are tacos that have spaghetti with sauce filled in them. They were first seen in the Nickelodeon teen sitcom iCarly (Season 1) and later in SpongeBob SquarePants (Season 9). They quickly became a food pop culture phenomenon - following the airing of an episode from iCarly where Spencer Shay, Carly's older brother, created them when he couldn't decide between having spaghetti or tacos for dinner. What started as a joke food invented by writer Dan Schneider, quickly grew into a pop culture sensation.[1] The New York Times wrote an article about spaghetti tacos, which was featured in their food and dining section on October 5, 2010. There are dozens of recipes and variations of the joke food, including a dessert version with brownie mix, strawberries and frosting, and a more "traditional" version with Italian sausage and green peppers. Barefoot Kitchen Witch, a popular cooking blog, posted a recipe including fresh guacamole and jalapeño salsa.
