Dr. Irene Chojnacka - Krynski , born January 5, 1925 in Warsaw , Poland . Oldest daughter of Szczepan and Helena Chojnacki . Dr Krynski completed Nazareth Secondary School in 1943 and Warsaw Medical Academy in 1950 . She practiced medicine in Warsaw, Saska Kepa area until 1961. She was loved and respected by her patients and peers. At huge personal and professional sacrifice , she moved with her two sons , Christopher and Gregory to join her husband , Dr Zdzislaw Krynski , in Chicago . She worked as laboratory Medical Director in Chicago until 1964 . In 1964 she moved with her family to Ottawa , Canada . She worked for Canadian Government Health Research and published several brilliant professional articles while there. In 1971 she moved to Cayman Islands , where she practiced medicine until 1996 . For a short time she was married to Cayman Islands businessman , Lawrence Thompson . Her mother , Helena Chojnacka, visited Cayman Islands and is buried there at Thompson family cemetery. In 1998 Dr Krynski moved to Sarasota , Florida , where she lived in retirement until just before her passing on May 1, 2012 in Toronto , Canada. Dr Krynski was always fearless, proud , full of energy and strong character. She loved her profession and her sons and was one of a kind special medical doctor and mother.
