FSC financial advisors help clients establish investment portfolios that may include equities, bonds, mutual funds, annuities and insurance, and regularly review and advise on asset allocation within those portfolios. They also provide a variety of other financial and retirement planning services. FSC does not offer its own investment products, allowing its affiliated financial advisors to offer investment advice free of broker-dealer-associated conflicts of interest. FSC supports its affiliated financial advisors by providing access to account custody and reporting services, client-relationship management tools, practice management consulting, and other resources. The company’s President & CEO is Derek Burke.[2] HistoryFSC Securities Corporation was founded in 1958.[1] In 1983, West America merged into FSC. In 1986, FSC was acquired by The Mutual Life Company of New York. In 1989, FSC senior employees bought the company back from The Mutual Life Company of New York. In 1997, FSC was acquired by SunAmerica, Inc., and became part of the SunAmerica Financial Network. In 1999, the SunAmerica Financial Network was acquired by American International Group (AIG).[3] In 2002, the SunAmerica Financial Network became AIG Advisor Group. In 2016, AIG Advisor Group was acquired by Lightyear Capital LLC, a New York-based private equity firm focused on financial-services investing, and PSP Investments, one of Canada’s largest pension investment managers, forming Advisor Group Holdings, Inc.[4] Statistics
