| past_members = | module = | module2 = | module3 = }} Funeral Anthem is a Bangladeshi power metal band formed in Dhaka by Arunav Shuvro and Tawsif Haider in 2007 [1][2]. Shuvro and Tawsif used to be guitarists for different bands. Soon they started the idea about creating a single band. Then Tanvir Kaium joined the band as a bassist. The trio started to cover several metal songs. They used to compete each other in their personal musical skills. One year later Maruf R. Khan joined the band as keyboardist. Soon, Faiyaz Hossain joined the band as vocalist and Nayeem Abdullah Oyon as drummer. They were inspired by bands like Symphony X, Nightwish, Dream Theater, DragonForce . However they were also inspired by extreme metal bands like Pantera, Metallica etc. They are one of the pioneering power metal bands in Bangladesh. They are mostly an underground band, but through their first album, "অপ্রতিরোধ্য" they started to gain popularity among power metal fans of Bangladesh[3].
