She is a R&B/Soul singer-songwriter[1] raised in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. In 2010 she began posting covers and original songs to her YouTube channel[2] and was later discovered by American rapper, Mac Miller.[3] She was signed to his record label, REMember Music. On April 22, 2013 she released her first mixtape titled, Gold Lion. Early LifeNjomza was born in Germany to Albanian parents and speaks fluent Albanian. She was raised in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois[4]. She has been preforming since she was 5 years old, mainly in talent shows. When she was 14 years old, she formed a band by the name of Scarlett.[5] However, when she was 16 she left to pursue a solo career[6] and began posting videos to her YouTube channel until she was discovered by Mac Miller. Career2013-2016: Career BeginningsIn 2013 Njomza singed with REMember Music and released her first mixtape, Gold Lion on April 22. After her first mixtape, she continued working and creating single songs on the steaming service, SoundCloud[7] such as, High, Hold on[8] and Talk About It[9]. In 2015 she released the single Creatures of the Night which was produced by Earl Sweatshirt and Mac Miller, who also performed on it. In 2016 She released Move To Your Beat which was produced by Fki 1st. She teamed up with Skrillex to create the song, Pretty Bye Bye.[9] She also was featured on Mac Miller's album, The Divine Feminine. 2017: Sad For YouOn April 7, 2017, Njomza released her debut EP from the REMember music label, Sad For You[10]. She announced a music video for the single of the EP also titled Sad For You.[11] She also released a song with Party Favor, titled Caskets.[12] 2018: VacationShe was signed to SinceThe80s/Motown Records[13] and on November 9, 2018 she released her second EP, Vacation[14] with music videos for Mania is Temporary and Lonely Nights.[15] Personal LifeNjomza moved from Chicago, Illinois to Los Angeles, California in 2015 to further her music career[16].
