The One and Only Boothsift 23:22, 18 February 2019 (UTC)}} Organellomics is a science that quantifies structural diversity and abundance of organelles in individual cells, tissues, or organs. All organelles or specific types of organelles present in a biological system at a given moment of time constitute organellome. For example all mitochondria constitute mitochondrial organellome. Organellomics aims to provide understanding how developmental or environmental cues impact on the organellome and uses this information to assess changes in the metabolic status of living organisms on cellular, tissue, organ or organismal levels. |
