He is also known for his improv and vocal work. Early lifeShayne was born to Catherine Topp (née Person) and Robert Royal Topp,[2] a fighter pilot.[3] His grandfather, Wayne Topp, was also a fighter pilot. Topp participated in an acting class with his friend, and fellow Smosh member, Noah Grossman taught by the mother of Laura Marano. CareerShayne also has experience in theatre performances, starring in "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" at Wonderworks Theatre Co. and "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" at Highland Lakes Theatre (as the title role).[4] Additionally, he has appeared in commercials.[5] He went on to win the Jury Prize at the 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival for his performance in Dear Lemon Lima.[6] He was also nominated for "Exciting New Face (Male)" at the 2014 Young Hollywood Awards. Originally deciding to move away in 2015 due to a lack of work, he was convinced by Noah Grossman to audition for the cast of Smosh, which he remains a part of as of 2018.[7][8] Though Smosh’s parent company has recently gone bankrupt, Topp and the rest of the cast are still continuing to make videos. In February 2019, Smosh was bought by Mythical Entertainment. Filmography
