Braintree District Council in Essex, England is elected every four years. Since the last boundary changes in 2015, 49 councillors have been elected from 26 wards.[1]

Political control

A vacancy in Hatfield Peverel and Terling ward will be filled in a by-election on 3 May 2018. The Conservatives are defending.[20]

Conservative Cllr Stephanie Paul resigned on 22 March 2018, triggering a by-election in Bocking North ward on 3 May.[18]
