}}Lepidiolamprologus boulengeri is a species of cichlid endemic to Lake Tanganyika where it is known from the Tanzanian coast in the northern part of the lake. Pairs of this species live together in their territory and the female lives in snail shells in a pit that they have dug in the sand. This species can reach a length of {{convert|6.2|cm|in}} TL. This species can also be found in the aquarium trade.[2] The specific name of this cichlid honours the Belgian born British ichthyologist and herpetologist George Albert Boulenger (1858-1937).[3] References1. ^{{cite iucn | author = Bigirimana, C. | year = 2006 | title = Neolamprologus boulengeri | journal = The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species | volume = 2006 | page = e.T60607A12383038 | url = http://dx.doi.org/10.2305/IUCN.UK.2006.RLTS.T60607A12383038.en | accessdate = 29 January 2019}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q1578923}}{{Lamprologini-stub}}2. ^{{FishBase |genus= Neolamprologus|species= boulengeri| month = February | year = 2013}} 3. ^{{cite web | url = http://www.etyfish.org/cichlidae4/ | title = Order CICHLIFORMES: Family CICHLIDAE: Subfamily PSEUDOCRENILABRINAE (l-o) | accessdate = 29 January 2019 | author1 = Christopher Scharpf | author2 = Kenneth J.
