Diogenes ({{IPAc-en|d|aɪ|ˈ|ɒ|dʒ|ə|ˌ|n|iː|z}}; {{lang-grc-gre|Διογένης}}, Diogénēs, "born of Zeus"[1]) is a Greek name shared by several important historical figures, the best-known of whom is the philosopher Diogenes of Sinope (412–323 BC).
